Why skin loosens after weight loss
When weight comes off quickly, skin doesn't always have time to shrink back, particularly after 40, when collagen production slows. On the face, fat loss in the cheeks and temples combined with looser skin along the jaw is sometimes called "Ozempic face". The same thing can happen on the arms, thighs and abdomen.
How Endolift helps
Endolift® contracts and tightens loose skin and stimulates new collagen. It treats laxity, not volume loss, so some patients also benefit from treatments that restore volume.
- Face: jowls, jawline and neck laxity after weight loss
- Body: upper arms, inner thighs, abdomen and knees
- Combination: where volume has been lost, Dr Seth may suggest volume restoring treatment alongside Endolift®
When to have treatment
The best time is when your weight has been stable for a few months. Treating while you are still losing weight can mean the skin loosens again. If you are using a weight loss medicine, tell Dr Seth at consultation so he can plan the right timing with you. Endolift® is not a weight loss treatment.
If you have overhanging skin folds, for example on the abdomen or arms, surgery such as an abdominoplasty or arm lift may give a better result. As a plastic surgeon, Dr Seth will explain your options honestly.

Common questions
Can Endolift tighten skin after weight loss?
Yes, for mild to moderate loose skin. It contracts the skin and stimulates new collagen. Large overhanging skin folds usually need surgery.
Can Endolift treat "Ozempic face"?
Endolift can tighten loose skin on the lower face and neck after weight loss. It does not replace lost volume, so Dr Seth may suggest combining it with other treatments.
Should I wait until I stop losing weight?
Yes. Treatment works best once your weight has been stable for a few months.
