The recovery timeline
- Treatment dayYou go home the same day. The area feels numb from the anaesthetic, then tender and warm. You may wear a compression garment as advised.
- Days 1 to 3Swelling usually peaks. Some redness or bruising around entry points is common. Most people feel fine to work, especially from home.
- Days 4 to 7Swelling settles noticeably. Bruising fades. The area may feel firm.
- Weeks 2 to 4Tenderness and numbness fade. Small firm areas where fat was treated soften as the body clears it.
- Months 1 to 3Collagen remodelling tightens the skin. Many patients see the biggest change here.
- Months 3 to 6Final result and review with Dr Seth, with after photographs.

Common questions
How long does Endolift swelling last?
Swelling usually peaks over the first two to three days and settles noticeably within a week. Mild residual swelling can take a few weeks to fully resolve.
Can I go to work after Endolift?
Most people return to work the next day. If your job is very public facing, you may prefer to take two or three days off.
When can I exercise after Endolift?
Light walking is fine straight away. Most people return to strenuous exercise after about a week, but follow Dr Seth's personal advice.
Why does the area feel lumpy?
Small firm areas are normal where fat has been treated. They soften over a few weeks as the body clears the fat.
