The short answer
If you want long lasting tightening and some fat reduction along the jaw, Endolift® is usually the better option. A thread lift gives a faster, more mechanical lift, but results tend to be shorter lived.
Side by side
| Endolift® | Thread lift | |
|---|---|---|
| How it works | Laser tightening and fat reduction | Barbed threads suspend tissue |
| Foreign material | None | Threads, which dissolve over time |
| Reduces fat | Yes | No |
| Results | Build over 3 to 6 months, long lasting | Instant, often lasts around a year or more |
| Common issues | Swelling, temporary firmness | Dimpling, tightness, visible or palpable threads |
Endolift after threads
Dr Seth teaches revision cases, including patients who have had threads before. Endolift® can often be used after threads have dissolved. He will assess any scarring or tethering at consultation.
Common questions
Is Endolift better than a thread lift?
For long lasting tightening and fat reduction, Endolift is usually the better choice. Threads give a quicker mechanical lift that tends to fade sooner.
Can I have Endolift if I've had threads?
Often yes, once the threads have dissolved. Dr Seth will assess any scarring at consultation.
